Born in Kumasi, Ghana, Venessa is currently living in the UK working as Social Media Project Officer for the International Campaign to Abolish Nuclear Weapons. She recently graduated from the University of Buckingham where she studied International Studies in French.

She is passionate about disarmament, women in international security, and humanitarian development.

She is currently vice-chair for Youth for TPNW and was an Advocacy Advisor for Scrap Weapons where she was actively involved with the Feminist Leadership in Disarmament project.

Venessa is excited to join the WIFP team and to work towards encouraging women from marginalised and underrepresented backgrounds to join in foreign policy conversations because they are essential to providing new critical and more intersectional perspectives on the global challenges we are currently facing.
